I've been doing the indie scene here in Seattle for over seven years now. My own style of acting is not a popular one but I think I've found somewhat of a niche with those film makers out there that need the little something I do.
I shake my head at what I do when I see it. I lay in the streets and wonder why I'm not what I imagine in my head. But then a few pages of writing and dialogue cross my path, my eyes light up, I dust off the shame and hit the pavement fully renewed.
It's torturous and fun. I'm alright and will get better as long as I keep getting to work with all these talented folk.

Simone Beres and her younger brother started performing for friends and family in kindergarten. There was no surprise when she asked to audition for a local theatre company to perform in front of a wider audience. Since then she has performed in six productions with Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre and Seattle Children’s Theatre. Her most recent role was the female lead as “Rosie” in Bye Bye Birdie.
Three years ago, a local talent agency, TCM, pursued Simone to do commercial work. Besides “Box Walk” she has a full feature film currently in production, “A Bad Summer for Tomatoes”. She plays the lead Maggie Callahan.
Simone is active in school as class President. Her school serves many students with a variety of disabilities. She says her favorite part of the day is working with the disability kids during her recess time. Like most pre-teens she is into painting her nails and exploring YouTube. She has learned how to paint fancy nail designs, make rock candy and bake Adventure Time cupcakes.
Besides acting, her passion is singing and piano music composition. She has been admitted into a performing arts school and will be attending there in 7th grade. Simone is excited about the challenges and adventures ahead.
